>Description:
I initially installed 6.0 because I got a like problem with 6.1. Now that 6.2 is out, I tried to upgrade to it.
I get the following error:
Fatal trap 12: page fault while in kernel mode
fault virtual address = 0xb5
fault code = supervisor read, page not present
instruction pointer = 0x20:0xc07e2f88
stack pointer = 0x28:0xc1020b8c
frame pointer = 0x28:0xc1020b8c
code segment = base 0x0, limit 0xfffff, type 0x1b
= DPL 0, pres 1, def32 1, gran 1
processor eflags = interrupt enabled, resume, IOPL=0
current process = 0 ()
trap number = 12
panic: page fault
Uptime: 1s
This problem occurs with 6.1 and 6.2 boot floppies (text above from 6.2). The 6.0 boot floppies have always worked ok.
>How-To-Repeat:
Boot from the boot floppy and kern 1-3 floppies. When the menu arrives, allow default choice. Kernel panic occurs.
