  Machine will not boot unless the following is in /boot/loader.conf

hint.acpi.0.disabled=1

	

  The system is an original Compaq DL360, not the later G1, etc.  It is running BIOS version
P21 dated 11/15/2002 which is the latest version of the BIOS for this system.  I have tried setting
the Operating System type in the BIOS configuration to UNIX/LINUX and OTHER with no effect.

  There is only 1 CPU installed in this system.

  When ACPI is enabled the system halts during boot with the following message:
