kern/80042: FreeBSD 5.4 RC2: Promise PDC20265 on A7V mobo + Maxtor 6B200P0/BAH41BM0 gives only 268435455 instead of 398297088 sectors

 I have the same problem with Promise PDC20265 on K7T266Pro2RU and 200Go
 disk but just on second channel (maybe the same for you).
 It's a LBA 48 bits access problem on second channel.
 After applying you're patch (just on ata-chipset.c) on FreeBSD 5.4,
 everything work fine for me.
 The test on channel in case of 48 bits access (ch->unit ? 0x24 : 0x20)
 solve the problem.
 Today i use FreeBSD 5.4 on K7T266Pro2RU (Promise PDC20265) whith RAID0
 2x200Go bootdisk.
