>Environment:
FreeBSD 4.8 / 4.9 / 4.10
>Description:
ProFTPD is supposed to work with NIS, but it doesn't.

Sep 23 13:02:06 xxxxxxx proftpd[74893]: xxxxxxxxx - ProFTPD 1.2.10rc3 (devel)
(built Thu Sep 23 12:56:20 CEST 2004) standalone mode STARTUP
Sep 23 13:02:11 xxxxxxx proftpd[74904]: xxxxxxxxxx (localhost[127.0.0.1]) -
PAM(phear): Authentication failure.
Sep 23 13:02:11 xxxxxxx proftpd[74904]: xxxxxxxxxx (localhost[127.0.0.1]) - USER
phear (Login failed): Incorrect password.

I get the following error message from ypbind:

Sep 23 13:02:01 xxxxxxxxxx ypserv[157]: access to master.passwd.byname denied --
client x.x.x.x:4446 not privileged

The problem is that proftpd connects to ypserv using a port > 1024, which is not allowed.
