 You must also configure device atkbdc as this driver provides the io
 services for ps/2 mice.  Do you have this configured?  If not, please try
 again or give full config file + dmesg output, as I am running 5.3 as of
 monday afternoon (~17:00hrs west coast USA time) and my ps/2 mouse is
 fine.
