*BSD slows down linux via vmwarekernelmodules

Hi guys,

i'm not sure if it's a bug, but it's quite annoying.
I'm running a Debian/sid with custom 2.6.6 Kernel, but i discovered that
bug i was running 2.6.4 and vmware 4.0 with the Kernel Module Update 62.

When i'm installing Freebsd and openbsd inside vmware, and cause some
network traffic, mostly this was downloading some sourcecode or updating
the ports tree with cvsup, the Bsd caused my linux machine's ppp
connection to slow down to 15KB down and less than 10KB upstream, even
without any other application using that connection actively.
Any other OS isnt causing that effect in vmware, only freebsd, in my case
fbsd 4.9 and openbsd 3.5, didnt check any others, due to very very little
experience with the bsds.
I checked the vmware updates til 67 and linux kernel 2.6.5/6 also updats
vmware to vmware 4.5, but the bug's still around...

dont know if that's worth reporting to you guys, cause it's very likely
that vmware is the cause of it, but what's making me wonder is that free
and openbsd are causing the same effect, didnt check for net or dragonfly.

greetings

tom
