 Another addition:
 
 This evening I have been playing music from the external harddisk for 
 hours without a problem.
 
 Then immediately after I wanted to sync my Handspring Visor (PPP over 
 USB) another "watchdog timeout"... I pressed the hotsync button on the 
 pilot screen as usual.
 
 This was the second one of today. Without a reboot I cannot access the 
 external harddisk.
