I'm having a similar problem, with the slight difference that after printing
the EFI framebuffer information, the system does not hang but rather reboots,
causing an endless reboot loop. This is booting
FreeBSD-12.1-RELEASE-amd64-memstick.img from a USB flash drive on a HP Compaq
6300 Pro SFF PC.

Disabling the EFI boot devices in the BIOS works around the issue.
