AMD64 Faster?

You "incredibly" faster is more than likely due to a clean
install as 64bit vs 32bit for the base OS makes very little
difference and is actually slower in some parts.

The speed of 64bit vs 32bit depends on the application
used. Their are no hard and fast rules

Is the AMD64 Version of FreeBSD Significantly faster then the i386
version? I am using Windows XP 64 Bit atm and it is *incredibly*
faster then the 32 bit version. I am just curious to if FreeBSD's
AMD64 Version is snappy and ... any good?
