Is mmap(2) truly limited to mapping 2GB chunks of a file, even on 64-bit platforms where a 64-bit offset in the VM system shouldn't be such a performance penalty, or does the BUGS section of the mmap(2) man page apply to 32-bit platforms only? TIA, Guy Helmer
