I have an Asus K8V SE DLX (VIA K8T800) motherboard with an Athlon64 cpu and
am trying to set up a 2 disk raid on it's builtin promise PDC20378 raid
controller. MS Windows XP see & installs on this raid setup fine, but
FreeBSD 5.2.1 release doesn't seem to see the second disk (another 40gb
Maxtor 6E040L0) in the raid properly, ie "disk1 DOWN no device found for
this disk".
seemingly relevant part of dmesg below:

Any suggestions? anyone else using this hardware with sucess ?

Thanks
