Mmmm - I oversaw that you have an additional PCI bus with a bridged
device on it.
Damn - you said that you can't open the maschine as I would suggest
moving the card into a slot on the primary bus or keep it out.

Wilko,  I heard rumours that you've send Poul the box?
Did it ever run FreeBSD before?
I can at least tell for shure that we have some bugs in alpha PCI code
that showed up on the AS4100 with a bridged card in the secondary bus
in that access was tried through the primary bus.
I think bridged cards are supported at the primary bus only right now.
