Hi all,

Last week takes place at the CNIT, La Défence, close to Paris, the 2012
edition of Solutions Linux. Solutions Linux is a corporate event focused in open source
solutions, and open source project. With some enthusiastic we animate a FreeBSD booth to
promote FreeBSD in corporate environments. We also come with goodies for all the FreeBSD
enthusiastic.

We discuss a lot with companies and individuals

* who want to starting business projects who are looking for a Open Source OS and
hesitate between FreeBSD and other competitors.

* who are already selling solutions for linux and looking for some help to package their
products for FreeBSD eg. the dolibar CRM [1] or arkeia [2] who sells a backup
appliance also available for FreeBSD clients

We met the nfrance crew [3], a french hosting company located in Toulouse[4].
nfrance, who only uses FreeBSD in their hosting infrastructure, was looking for some
ways to collaborate and contribute to the FreeBSD project.

Baptiste Daroussin (bapt@) makes a short appearance in a webtv program with Landry Breuil
from the openbsd project to talk about the BSD and the incoming features in 9.1 and beyond.
The tall will be online soon [5].

A french tech news website talks about us as one of the most visible project of the exhibition[6].
Of course, pictures will come soon.

We want to specially thanks iXsystems who provides a lot of goodies
(horns, post-it, stress balls). We redistribute them for free and collect donations
for the FreeBSD project. For these 3 days we collect 300 US$ donated directly
to the freeBSD fundation "On behalf of FreeBSD donations at Solutions Linux 2012".

We also want to thanks Daniel Seuffert ds@ for his support year after year !

Best regards
- The BSD team @ SL
