problem with acpi

Hello I have an acer travelmate 252 laptop, which freezes everytime I boot it up with acpi enabled, here is the dmesg output.

The freeze happens at this line "sio0: type 8250 or not responding"
 
Please note that the above dmesg is with acpi disabled, but the same line does appear in both modes, Here is a link to the asl file http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/11/28/1613605/name-system.asl which I got with this command : acpidump -dt > name-system.asl
