I believe that you didn't read my mail where I explained how to do
it in two steps:

On RELENG_5, without /usr/src/contrib/bind9, you do this:

cd /usr/src/contrib
cvs -R up -d -jHEAD bind9
cvs commit bind9

I think the script is unnecessary.  ;)
