As Dmitry already said, and as was outlined before on a number of
occasions, port directory name, PORTNAME, and PKGNAME can be not equal
to each other (with port directory name being completely independent).
Careful thinking of how to construct PORTNAME and PKGNAME can, I believe,
make naming scheme nice and clean while playing nice with Cabal/HDB
conventions at the same time. You can take a look at various `linux-',
quake-related, and language-categories ports for examples of how it can
be done. Our Ports framework is quite capable of handling this task.
