Depends on how you view it.  There exist later versions of tptest, but those
are only for Windows or MacOS X.  The port is using the latest version of
the tptest sources that are available for standard Unix (including *BSD and
Linux.)  The online website mentioned only supercedes it for some of the
uses of the program, but certainly not for all.

Well, I don't think there are any real issues that need to be dealt with
(other than the deprecation itself.)
The port works fine as it is, is using the latest upstream version that
works on FreeBSD, and is considered useful by at least some people.

In short I would be perfectly content if you just back out the deprecation
and leave the port in the tree.
