The purpose of this variable is to set a linux distro used
for infrastructure linux ports. Even for linux_base-f8
before this commit -fc4- infrastructure is used by default.
BTW, it remains as a default. If one want to switch to -f8-
infrastructure ports, then this variable should be set to "f8".
