I have mixed feelings about this myself, however:
- the software refers to itself as "MailScanner", in Perl module name,
all paths and filenames
- I suggested to the maintainer that PORTNAME should be changed to
MailScanner, in order to make the paths and names consistent with the
software's own naming scheme
- Now, when the PORTNAME has changed, it would be inconsistent, IMHO,
to have PORTNAME=MailScanner and the directory mail/mailscanner.
Thus the request for repo-copy.
Having said that, if the consensus is against this change, I will back
it out.
