Correct, but that is technically included in stating that an FPU is
needed. (Which the 6-CURRENT hardware notes does say, but the
5-STABLE hardware notes does not.)
(And FreeBSD 4.x should work fine on a 80486sx.)

Quite possible. I must admit I know nearly nothing about the various
486 clones out there (other than the fact that such clones did exist.)
