One of the reasons YYYYMMDD versions without leading protective 0.0. prefix
should be used with extra care (that is, when YYYYMMDD is official version
number and upstream maintainer do not plan to switch once they're out of
beta or something).  But kudos for caring for PORTEPOCH, appreciated.
