I think you're missing the point.  As others have said, it's a
quotation, not a statement of truth.  In this case, it doesn't even
directly refer to Oracle or Innobase.

On a more philosophical note, is the fact that Oracle is hiring new
InnoDB developers maybe a confirmation of Mårten's observation?
