In your commit you use PREFIX instead of LOCALBASE/X11BASE, so this commit
message confuses me.

I've compiled vim 6.[34] on Solaris 10 recently and I had no problem to use
"--prefix=", so I doubt that replacing /usr/local with PREFIX as a reinplace
command is supposed to fix the destination. But PREFIX is not right for a
non-standard LOCALBASE/X11BASE. What is this commit supposed to do?

Bye,
Alexander.
