You will understand you have dual-core CPU's - I don't see how you could
misunderstand:
    Dual Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 280 (2392.92-MHz K8-class CPU)

What is missing is the information of how many sockets you have in the
machine.  Jkim's patch doesn't fix that.
