I have a matrox MGA G400 that has a nasty habit of losing its bios flash 
and/or  configuration eeprom settings and reverting to a 32MB pci ram 
card.   I was actually waiting for it to happen again so that I could 
hook it up for a dmesg / ktr buffer that completely survives a reset.
