Not recognizing raid controller Adaptec AIC7901

Thank you for answering,
So if I have no possibility to install FreeBSD on aic-7901, but I want to
use RAID can I user mirroring with gmirror.
Is this a good idea, can you give me an advice how to add redundancy to my
data.
Also is there a plan in the future to support this kind of controller?
