Hi all!

This seems strange to me, but maybe one of ya'll have seen it. These drives are from an old netapp box, hence the odd drive vendor.

from /var/log/dmesg

And, as expected, my performance isn't the greatest.

[root at cuda scsi]# hdparm -tT /dev/sdb1

/dev/sdb1:
 Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 1.22 seconds =104.69 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 2.49 seconds = 25.70 MB/sec
[root at cuda scsi]#

So my question is, what kind of performance should I be expecting? And is there anything I can do to fix this performance problem? These are Hitachi JuraD disks at 10k rpm.

Blake
