Greetings,
I've got a squid server that's just not happy and I'm hoping
someone will have been down this road before.
My machine has an Adaptec 2940UW in it with a single Seagate
ST34572N 4.55 GB drive in it. Termination is enabled on the drive and the
card is set to auto terminate.
I'm running RedHat 7.0 with the 2.2.19-7.0.12 kernel with the
staple aic7xxx driver that comes with the RPM install (I'm sorry, I can't
figure out how one determines the exact version of the driver one is
running).
I get about about five of the errors below and hour on this
machine which results in a serious e2fsck session when I reboot the
machine:

Jan 10 11:33:46 reliant kernel: SCSI disk error : host 0 channel 0 id 0
lun 0 return code = 28000002
Jan 10 11:33:46 reliant kernel: [valid=0] Info fld=0x0, Current sd08:05:
sense key Illegal Request
Jan 10 11:33:46 reliant kernel: Additional sense indicates Invalid command
operation code
Jan 10 11:33:46 reliant kernel: scsidisk I/O error: dev 08:05, sector
6162528

Any guidance, even an appropriate URL so I can RTFM I can't seem
to find would be deeply appreciated.
Many thanks in advance to all who can find the time.
