it doesn't run on 2.4.x

It seems that a lot of people has a timeout problem with this driver.
I run 2.4.1 and 2.2.16 with AHA2904 controller and when I attach my CD 
burner I get the same error. (see past messages)
Try looking at

there are the new drivers but i dont know how to install them. I've already asked for help in this
mailing list on How to install them but nobody has answered me. probably my question was too silly...so I still
have my cd record turned off!
