2940 trouble with on-board controller

We are having problems with v5.05 aic7xxx driver and an
on-board controller that works fine with the RH 4.2 boot img.
However, after installing the 2.0.33 kernel and the 5.05 aic7xxx
driver, the on-board 2940 hangs and does not unregister the module
after the Seg fault.

Linux 2.0.33 and a 2940 card are also there.

Has anyone seen anything similar?
