aic7890 problems

Someone with amazing foresight told the dude who handles hardware orders
that the onboard 7890 chip works with Red Hat Linux...(Yes I know, no
mention of versions, kernels, or what not...sigh--the amazing technical
skills of sales people.)

Anyway, using an onboard 7890 and 2 ultra wide drives--or attempting to.

What I continue to see is:

(scsi0:0:1:0) Aborting scb 24
(scsi0:-1:-1:-1) 1 commands found and queued for completion.
SCSI host 0 abort pid 2 timed out -- reset.
SCSI bus is being reset for host 0 channel 0.
(scsi0:0:1:0) Reset called, scb 29, flags 0x6
(scsi0:0:1:0) Bus devices reset scb flags 0x6 while idle, LASTPHASE=0x1
(scsi0:0:1:0) SCSISIGI 0x0 SEQADDR 0x9 SSTAT0 0x0, SSTAT1 0x0
(scsi0:0:1:0) Quinn device reset command
(scsi0:-1:-1:-1) 0 commands found and waiting for completion.
(scsi0:0:1:0) Buss device reset mailed

Goes on and on with a bunch of cleaning up messages and also tries to
reset the active scb 32 during the process.

Any help? :)
