Non Ending Tape Problems :-(

Hello,

after upgrading the kernel to 2.0.33 (The former 2.0.29 suddenly begun
again with process hangups :-(), I have a new tape problem: After some
(long) time of writing, tar is cancelled with I/O Error. I tried
another tape, but the same problem. Short tars's were
successfull. This is the log:
