Because i red several lockup related things in here.

I've always had _very_ hard lockups after e2fsck'ing 3 filesystems during
multi user startup after mounting these 3 when doing a DOS FAT mount
afterwards.
No magic keys work.

Config:
   Pentium Pro 200
   ASUS P6NP5
   64MB DRAM
   1 2940W
   2 2940UW
   12 SCSI HDD
   Linux 2.1.112
   aic7xxx up to 5.1-pre7

Fsck'ed filesystems are on 4GB Seagate Cheetah and on 4GB Quantum Fireball.
Rest is for testing of LVM and not n use at that point in time.

Workaround is to reboot _after_ e2fsck and _before_ all mounts occur.

I think it's still an aic7xxx problem in my case, because 5.0.12?
was o.k.

Any hints?

Heinz
