Anyone have any luck with the Gigabyte 686dlx motherboard with smp and
the aic7xxx driver with any 2.1.x kernel? Whenever I leave SMP=1 in the
makefile the machine locks right before it gets to

(scsi0) <Adaptec AIC-7880 Ultra SCSI host adapter> found at PCI 12/0
(scsi0) Narrow Channel, SCSI ID=7, 16/255 SCBs

I can press a few keys then the keyboard will also lock up too.

is the driver or the motherboard that is causing these woes?

Thanks in adavance!
