2.1.91 SMP and aic7xxx

Hello!

I don't know this is an aic7xxx or SMP problem.
The kernel version 2.1.91 compiled with SMP support with the supplied aic 
driver boots and works fine on a one-processor machine but stops while 
scanning the SCSI bus on a dual PPRO machine.

On the dual system the BIOS assigns interrupt 11 to the card. After 
initializing the IO-APIC the card has interrupt 17. There are no further 
kernel messages after 'scsi0: Scanning channel A for devices.'.

The dual machine has an onboard 7880 controller, the single processor machine 
has an Adaptec 9440UW card with a 7881 controller.
