Fireball and Tagged queque

I have just upgradated to kernel 2.0.32.
I try to enable tagged quequing but during a tape backup the controller
hangs giving a lot of errors.

My disk is a Quantum Fireball TM2100S, tape is Tandberg TDC4200.

Are Firaball so bad disks?
I take a look to quantum ftp site, to see if there is some firmrare to
download, but there is nothing for fireball.
