IPv6 and CARP crashes boxes

Like Pete, we haven't experienced problems related to aliases either here.

Running on a variety of 8.1-RELEASE , 8.2-PRERELEASE, 8.2-RELEASE, and
now thankfully 8.3-STABLE ;)
