Updating from 4.9-RELEASE

Hello all, i am new to the freebsd-current mailling list, and have
recently been atempting an upgrade to freebsd-CURRENT. I have the world
built, and the the kernel built and installed, but when i reboot into
single user mode to install the world, the make installworld fails with
the following errors:

pid 5546(sh), uid 0: exited on signal 12 (core dumped)
"/usr/src/Makefile", line 117: warning: "LC_ALL=C date" returned
non-zero status

pid 5547 (sh), uid 0: exited on signal 12 (core dumped)
"/usr/src/Makefile", line 225: warning: "cd /usr/src/sys//conf && find
[A-Z]*[A-Z] -type f -maxdepth 0 ! -name NOTES" returned non-zero status
pid 5548 (sh), uid 0: exited on signal 12 (core dumped)
*** Signal 12

Stop in /usr/src


Any help on this matter is much appriciated.
