It would be a whole lot more useful to:

1. Provide a diff against the existing script.
2. Send a PR.
3. Let freebsd-rc at yahoogroups.com know what you're up to, so one of the
rcNG folks can take a look, and hopefully commit it.

You might also want to cc warner as a courtesy, since devfs is his
demonic offspring. :)
